World News Australia - Curriculum may not be identical: AEU
The national school curriculum won't be the same in each state and territory, Australia's peak public education union says.

School Education Minister Peter Garrett admitted on Wednesday that the new kindergarten to Year 10 English, maths, science and history curriculums won't be implemented in all states until at least 2013, two years later than first hoped.

We are in the 20th century, and not having a national curriculum is kind of ridiculous, the implementation of a national curriculum in Australia is a must and despite many obstacles will hopefully be successfully implemented.
The government should be given credit for this one.
