mercury turns male into female and vice versus-What about humans?

High-mercury diet turns male birds gay, says Florida study | News.com.au
WATER pollution in Florida's rivers and lakes is causing a species of birds to turn gay, according to scientists.

From 2006 through 2008, University of Florida ecologist Professor Peter Frederick studied 160 ibises and fed them food laced with different amounts of mercury
"You can really feminise males and androgenise females, and you don’t get them going after the same sex. This was really a surprise," said Professor Frederick,
However, humans should not have to worry about mercury levels affecting their sexuality, he added.
“Birds are not good models for humans,” he said.

We can continue polluting without affecting human sexuality...what a relief, we will only become sick and die at a younger age.
